Artoma - Stand out of the crowd !

As easy it may seem it’s really hard to slam into a shopping mall and look for a something special for a dear one. I mean yes you can get a bunch of fancy candles, an art piece and something of the same kind but I believe gifts and tokens are an ideal and special way to define and strengthen your bond, and that is why picking the A-Okay gift is not fairly easy.
Then again if you know where to go things can take a turn and instead of spending hours in a gift shop, trying to figure out what to get wrapped you can order up at ‘Artoma’ which offers you a fabulous range of customizable accessories and articles. Artoma has been known to customize almost anything that you want them to. Personalized Key chains, Mobile pouches, Jewelry, Accessories and so much more are on their ‘can-do’ list.
Other than that there price list is something you don’t have to worry about. Every piece is perfectly molded and beyond compare. Quality is something they can never compromise on and that is why they have been receiving fan-love and orders in bulk.
A little about the owner of Artoma is that, when passion and talents combines nothing stops you, so was the case with Alvina Ali who is a Bio-medical Engineering student. She has not mastered the art by degree but every piece designed reflects perfection.

Check out there page in the link below and you will love what they have to give!

Swirl with Colors - Sabrang's Clutch Collection

Around the globe every woman has her own sense of style. For some, elegance is hidden within diamonds and pearls for others style describes comfort and trend. Here we are reviewing a really different collection that I have brought to my blog so far!

Sabrang launched their clutches collection this year, and I am glad that I got around them. These clutches are not ordinary. They have an eccentric and cultured touch to them. Wrapped with the up-to the minute pom pom lace that has been largely used in the nation as jewelry and dress embellishments, and with splashes of color all around the collection is my favorite part. Other than that these must-have beauties are loaded with fabric and beads that reflect the traditional and artistic side of the country.
One of the most notable parts of these over-sized carry-ons is that you can pretty much store a lot in them. Clutches in the market weigh heavy when it comes to cash but they are not so satisfying when you take a quick glance at their size.

Check out the page if you are interested in their foot-wear, personalized folders and much more!

Caviar by Kiran - Bags in your budget !

Fashion as we know is today is considered to be opulent and majestic. Anything that has a bulky tag attached is considered to be a brand, it is known to something exquisite. For some people material and quality is not significant, for them anything expensive is categorized to be a must have in their closets.
On the other hand, Folks having the true sense of style can pretty much identify that fashion as any brand that provides comfort and style, which is chic as well as sophisticated.
On our blog today we welcomed ‘Caviar by Kiran’ who has been spotted spreading stylized and rich bags nationwide.
What makes this one different? Well, to start off ‘Caviar by Kiran’ blazes with a ton of variety when it comes to their products. Oversized clutches, Hobo’s, Satchels, you name it and they’ll have it!
Kiran has assembled and designed each bag with such a perfection that may want to have each piece. The chains and bling added to the top brings life to the overall master-piece.
A variety of bags there have that on-going animal print over them, while some have sequins and other have been coated with fake snake-skin which is faux leather for real.

The colors are what I adore the most about this brand! They play with neutrals that can be matched with every dress and would complete your look to suited perfection. Well here are my thoughts on what the brand reflects. Head over to their page and feel free to order and write your reviews!

A blogger on the bench - Pink Clouds

Here we are again with an exciting interview from a blogger this time !
Then again I was surfing the web and crashed over a Facebook Page entitled 'Pink Clouds' ... so I sent the questionnaire and was lucky enough to get the reply back ! Here is what we talked about:

1.Tell us about the birth of 'Pink Clouds’... How and when did this all happen?
It was in June 2011...Pregnant and completely paranoid about getting stretch marks. I used to spend hours and hours on the internet trying to find out creams and massage oils to that might actually work. After reading loads of really helpful reviews and a couple of vague ones, I suddenly realized how much of time we girls spend online reading these blogs.… loving them… hating them… connecting with girls all over the world. Then i thought… OK so here I come. Pink Clouds was born just about instantly in maybe 5 minutes.  And yes! From that moment onwards… there was no looking back.

2.As a blogger what are the most important points that one should keep in view...Give out three reasons for all the bloggers out there.
Among the 100 guidelines which bloggers might have to look into, my top 3 would be:

a. Honesty: Always be honest about how you feel about the products you review. Doesn’t matter how other bloggers, YouTube gurus or celebrities feel about it. You Love it? Oh yes you do… You hate it? No need to compromise on your thoughts.

b. Try and develop a unique style. We all are inspired from other writers and blogs but don’t copy anyone else. You are a different person… so let your blog be who you are

c. Write as often as possible. At least 2 post a week. Because sometimes blogs get forgotten… you wouldn’t want yours to get lost right.

3.Pink Clouds is having this crazy fan following that I noticed earlier …How did that happen? Also what are a few tips to promote blogs?
Thank you! Well it’s a wonderful feeling when you wake up every morning and you see your blog has grown big. My blog did have a sudden boost this year because i have been quite active on it. I think one of the main reasons would be my giveaways. I have loads of them going on all the time. That’s the most easiest and healthy way of getting more followers.

4.To talk more about your blog, what s Pink -Cloud about? Do u stick to the usual reviews and give-away's or is there more in the package?
Pink Clouds is a girly blog. All about the pretty and pink stuff going on in my life. Well what’s different about her would be - I like to focus mainly on natural, cruelty free make up and skin care. I always try to bring out these really wonderful products that are chemical free and amazing but yet to be noticed in the blog world. If you do have a look at my reviews you will notice i don’t write about those 'Oh So Popular' brands which everyone is talking about all the time. I like to write about something different, interesting and also healthy. I am trying to introduce as many natural brands as possible for my readers. Just so we can all be pretty, pink and healthy!

Rapid Fire with Gaity Atiq

Surfing Facebook, I spotted ‘Kooky’. A brand that has rapidly getting famous around the nation. Kooky has been known for its customizable cushions, party favors and the prompt services. So this week I got a few questions ready for Gaity Atiq – the founder and owner of Kooky. Listed below is the conversation that took place:

1.First of all the cushions are amazing! Tell us how did you start the whole thing? Was this a whole pre-planned sort of an idea or this just popped up?
Thank you so much for the appreciation. I have just started, I really don’t know how but it started with  some family motivation, plus I always wanted to do something different and unique...so there it was.

2.Have you ever taken a short – course or earned a degree in designing soft – furnishings? Or something close to Arts probably?
No I haven’t taken any courses yet…I am actually a banker by profession. Before this I was into Dress designing and I launched a brand labeled ‘Ayesha –Gaity’, this was in collaboration with a friend but then she moved abroad. I hardly had enough time on my hands to cope up with the business alone.

3.Kooky is getting famed everyday… How do you feel about that? And where would you like to see it?
Oh it feels great! I have not priced the cushions high… I want them to be accessible for the masses. It’s the love of designing and creativity that I am into it...and I love every moment of it.  I want 'kooky' to be established as a brand that can customize just about anything for the customers.

4.The name ‘Kooky’…where did that came from?
This was actually my first nickname…my grandfather used to call me that...it’s in his fondest memories that I have kept it... he is sadly no more... so in his honor its 'kooky' !

5.Are there more products that you would be introducing in the coming seasons? Or you will stick to the cushions?

Actually i am doing some other products also, like personalized goody bags. I have some imported favors and favor pails that i am offering.  In future i will be starting wedding, bridal shower and baby shower favors, they will all be customized, Inshallah. Plus a lot of other embroidered stuff are also coming up which I’m not disclosing right now.

Sam Ovais - Synonym for Henna perfection

1. So let’s start by you telling a bit of how has henna designing influenced you and what is the history of you getting in this field?
I was inclined towards arts and crafts right from the beginning but coming from a family of doctors and engineers the artist in me was never really encouraged.  My paints etc. were taken away until I earned a BBA (Hons.) and MBA. The only thing allowed was a henna cone. So, my hands, arms, feet and sometimes legs were filled with Mehindi doodles almost all the time. After all, the entire artist in me needed to express. Back home, in Pakistan, I worked as Marketing Manager for a leading media group but the not-so-favorable-corporate-environment at KSA made me take this hobby seriously. Initially I did not expect the response that I enjoy today but Allah has been the kindest to me, I'd say.

2. How many years has it been you practicing this art?
The earliest memories are since I was 8 years old. I used to fill up my hands, arms, feet and even legs just to make patterns. I used to do henna on friends, relatives, friends of friends (brides especially), paper, glass, vases, mirror anything I could get hold of was filled with my Mehindi patterns. People used to relate Mehindi with me. I could never have enough of it.

3. Did you learn henna designing or this was merely passion and you started on your own?
I have never ever had a formal training. It started as a passion turned into a hobby and practice polished it.

4. Over the years, how has the response related to fans?
People have always appreciated my work, ever since I started doodling with a henna cone, and that has always inspired and encouraged me to do better. It was only after I arrived at Saudi Arabia that I took this seriously and thought of taking it to another level. Allah has been kind.

5. I have seen you working and getting appreciated over the group and in person… How do you feel about that?
So far it hasn't got into my head. I still feel there's room for improvement. I feel humbled when people trust me to leave a pleasant stain that would last on their hands for days and memories for years to come. The real appreciation for my work is when the client leaves with a bright smile only to come back again.

6. Where would you like to see this designing talent of yours?

I never thought I would get such a warm response when I started it a year ago. As the logical next step, I'm already in collaboration with event management houses, wedding planning companies to present my art on a larger scale. Also, I plan to expand my portfolio to other cultural arts.
Further, I plan for Sam's to serve as an umbrella for other aspiring artists and thus I'm planning to conduct henna training classes in the near future. Art knows no boundaries; it should and would spread across continents, Inshallah.

Chic and Sophisticated - New in Town

Elegance does not consist of putting on a new dress – Coco Chanel

From the above quoted expression a lady then is left with two choices – Makeup or Jewelry. A percentage around the globe declares Makeup to be a synonym of artificial beauty. People prefer grabbing branded bags and shoes instead of paying cash over layers of that foundation and as a result getting a cakey –face!
So I guess this is clear that jewelry gets the highest votes!

This week we have an online shop ‘Chic and Sophisticated’ over our blog. The store presents a range of imported fashion accessories, taking rings, bracelets, necklaces, shades, Hair accessories and so much more on their list. The best thing about this store is affordable prices. Though they are imported, but the price tag has been putting a smile over the customers and making them order more and more.
Zainab – owner of the store, explained that imported jewels are something that you can get them from anywhere but what makes ‘Chic and Sophisticated so different is the quality and affordability. The customers are deeply satisfied and love shopping at the stores.
Upon clicking the photos tab over the page you can get a list of all the items included in the shop. Discount products and Sales are also a part of the albums. You can simply click and order your favorite jewels to your heart’s desire.

We thank and wish luck to the whole team for a brighter future.

Set of Questions with 'Studio Blacksheep'

1. Tell us your history of how you landed over in this tech world?
I started my first job in 2004 as a graphic designer in a multinational company known as Software Solutions. At that time i was also going to college.

2. Were you always interested in designing and graphics or this was just a lucky pick that has turned so big?
I never wanted to be a designer; i wanted to join army so i can become a soldier who dies in the line of duty. Designing just happened to me and it made my belief even stronger that every individual in all the parts of the world known or unknown is created or manufactured to deliver some tasks. So my task was to play with colors and bring these cartoons to life.

3. I believe there is always an inspiration ... What or who was yours behind 'Studio Blacksheep’?
There are many studios that are named after some animal or some great even or some natural disaster.

4. I must say that I loved the logo you designed for 'Love in a Basket' ... so when an order like that comes what is the first thing you do and how is whole procedure wrapped up?
About the 'Love in a Basket' tell you the truth; i don’t take part in these low budget competitions. It was never a source of attraction for me. I even never participate in any competition where my designs are compared with others but this is the first competition that i ever tried and won it. Something inside me told me that i would win it. The name just gave me a picture, a very clear picture of what i was going to create. I do some research to make sure that my idea doesn’t already exist. Then i find the relative data and stories behind the names. In this case the hearts were all around me to give a vision of the final logo. I started making baskets with hearts. One of these logos was good enough to compete on all my other options so i submitted it the last day.

5. What services does 'Studio Blacksheep' offer?
Studio Blacksheep offers all kind of design and development services that starts from a tiny logo of a company to huge pc or mobile game. Designing services include character designing, animation, game interface design, creative writing, game designing, game QA, logo designing, website designing and printing solutions for a brand. I am also thinking to start a learning institution where curios people can be taught and i will examine and guide them myself. Then I can hire more blacksheeps for my Design Farm. I am also planning to start some online workshops for people understanding of art and its importance in their lives.

6. I personally thought the name was really catchy 'Studio Blacksheep' ... how did that came up?
I was inspired by different gaming/animation studios like Pixar, DreamWorks, Blizzard Entertainment, Blur Animation, Ubisoft, Lionhead Studios etc. After a lot of consideration and research i thought of going with some animal name and this Lionhead Studios is the source of inspiration behind this name. Blacksheep is normally used for unprincipled or reckless person but the original story is, "Black is the most powerful color in all colors. It can absorb all the colors into it and never lose its originality. That’s the pretty much story behind the blacksheeps. When people realized that they couldn't change the color of the wool of black sheep, they simply separated them from the group and the real reason was lost in the bargaining with wool and it is still unknown to the world. They consider them as bad sheep that are useless while if we look at them technically then we come to know that their wool had original color which could not be altered so the price of the originality was "Black Label"
If anyone has doubt about the power of the black color then go and take a look at the cover of ‘Khana Kaaba’, its cover with black piece of cloth. It can take so much inside it.

7.  What more are you planning for the future and fans?
Well future is always unknown and mysterious to me, hence i have plans and dreams to study further in the field of character design & animation and unlock these mysteries that block the vision of a mind to see beyond the imagination.
About the fans, i want serious people on my page who watch cartoons and play games and who have an understanding of art and design. I want this page to be spread all over the Pakistan so people can know about the quality we can deliver and the talent of this country can complete any world class game.

8. As a whole team where would you like to see 'Studio Blacksheep’?
Studio Blacksheep is not just a game/design studio who is interested in the skills of its employees, it's like a culture where you sculpture yourself and find out the colors of characteristic. Wherever you go you carry your own originality. It should represent me, my company and everyone who is part of this team.
When Michelangelo was working on the Statue of David, he used come to his studio, stood in front of that 17 feet high piece of marble. He stared at it till afternoon and then went back home for supper. One day the king came to his studio and saw him staring at that piece of marble. The king came to Michelangelo and asked, "It's been weeks and you have done nothing." Michelangelo turned around, stared at king and said, "I am working." Then he went home. After 6 months that piece of marble was the masterpiece of that sculpture.

Abdullah Qureshi - One of the diamonds in the rough !

Music is considered to be a pure form art that has been racing through ages, in cultures and civilizations. Just as the globe is wrapped with traditions and philosophies that have been representing and symbolizing the nations, music casts the same effect. If we peek over to the western side, music there has a different language, it has beats and rhythm that are not seen in many parts of the world, tough they are still heard and the quality is appreciated.
Subcontinent has a unique genre of its own that stretches back to generations and to the pioneers of the art which were gifted to us in the form of Mehdi Hassan and Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan. As time raced the definition of music and signing has changed but the love and admirers have definitely grown, and so the art.

This week we were overwhelmed as the guest was none other than ‘Abdullah Qureshi’ himself. We value your time and thank you to be a part of ‘Samyy Writes’.
I was not sure at first about the singer being known over Middle East, and writing this down but as ‘Tere Liye’ was launched it became a hit over the networking sites. The composition received 50,000 views in mere 11 days and the fan – following was aggrandized over the voice perfectly weaving with the chords.
Initially the band was labeled as ‘Aghosh’ and in those years instead of being the lead singer he played as the lead guitarist. ‘I had released my covers under my own name so my band members thought that we should finish Aghosh and work under the name "Abdullah Qureshi" as I gained a little recognition because of my YouTube covers.’ That little recognition over the days has turned up to a total of 1000 subscribers and 10,000 fans over the Facebook page.

He himself is a self-taught musician. Abdullah at a tender age of 5 years raised his voice and tested his skills. He then at his 12th birthday was gifted a guitar by his parents. ‘I took some beginner guitar lessons but then I  learnt the rest of the stuff myself, from the internet etc. Nothing is hard if you really want to do it, I think I managed to learn music on my own because I was passionate about it.’

Moving on, he admitted to the fact that he was deeply inspired by the bands of the time and quoted a few names ‘Vital Signs, Junoon and Shehzad Roy’, ‘ I wanted to be like them and do what they have done!’.
For him the world of fans and followers have always been at large, Abdullah Qureshi over the questionnaire said that he had his utmost support from friends, family and fans. He also explained that all of this was a journey; it was not like the sun shone over them the next day. It took years and hard work for them to achieve this level and fame.
On asking that will he be joining the singing industry for good in the coming years, he replied ‘I don't want to be a full time musician, I just want to complete my academics first and then set my priorities.’
Well from our side we wish you the very best of luck in any industry that you choose. But believe it or not the talent bleeds and the fans are looking for so much more from the artist.

Love in a Basket - Eid Collection

This season the elegant zebra print leather clutches were tossed with traditional scarlet to complete the most awaited ‘Eid Collection’ by none other than Love in a Basket!

Along with new fabric and an array of different materials, hair accessories and jewels were given a glamorous touch for the upcoming festival.

Soft suede’s, leather and matte sequins were presented in the clutches range. These bags were topped with huge beaded and stone work to flash a sense of glitz in the overall design. On the other hand soft met the elegant brown with reptile texture for a subtle touch, so that this particular piece can be a grab-on whatever the occasion stands. Sequins are a part of every closet and ‘sequins bags’, this just can’t get better. This ultra-chic square clutch was mixed with huge ribbon flowers to play more with textures.

The newly designed jewelry was a mixture of beads, fabric and the signature product ‘Italian Dough’. New shapes and designs were introduced. The theme of being close to culture and traditions were elaborated by adding ‘mirrors’ in the rings. Sunflower inspired designs were a huge success from the day on. In short, the jewelry line was getting better at every piece that was launched.

Hair Accessories were a major slice of the whole cake. Huge flowers were glued over the top of hair bands and clips for an elegant hair do on any coming event. The hairbands, clips and pony were matched with most of the design pieces so that you can get the perfect match for an ideal event.

Make sure to flaunt your dress with the best of clutches or handmade jewelry to complete the ravishing look this Eid!

Jeddah's Hypnotherapist - Ameenah Amin

This week was a bit different, instead of going on with the usual reviews and interviews I decided to get down with one of Jeddah's brilliant Hypnotherapist whose clients have claimed to be perfectly satisfied with the treatments. Here are a few questions that I got the chance to ask:

1. What is your background with Hypnotherapy?
My background with hypnotherapy is related with my interest and vast experience of Neotic Sciences/ Mind sciences. Since my teen years I used to think about something beyond conscious mind until I discovered the power of subconscious mind through vigorous mind control exercises and meditation, great tool to become aware of one self. As mind sciences becomes integral part of my life everyday there is something new to learn, as human mind is the greatest and mysterious creation of God and it works wonders.

2. What exactly is 'The Brain' according to your studies?
The conscious and the subconscious minds are merely two separate spheres of activity within your brain.
Your conscious mind is the rational or the logical mind, whereas your subconscious mind is the 'animal' like brain within humans.
Without any conscious choice on your part, your heart keeps pumping blood, your body knows to sweat and your temperature is regulated. These are all examples of the functions that although may seem as if they 'just happen', are actually the result of your subconscious mental processes, hard at work. Most people never 'think' that they have a subconscious mind, although they certainly have to 'think' with it. Your subconscious mind is very powerful and makes up a great percentage of your mental processes (Even though you are unaware of it) your subconscious mind is easily impressed upon by the thoughts and mental focus of the conscious mind. Your subconscious does not reason - it simply reacts to and follows the instructions and guidance of the conscious.

3. According to your phycology, has hypnotherapy been a success when applying professionally and personally?
Practitioners and researchers claim success rates of 90% and higher for professionally conducted hypnotherapy, that is followed up with a treatment plan and self-hypnosis which I teach them in our sessions. Alhamdulillah, I have dealt cases in Jeddah and all of them are successful. Hypnotherapy is useful for treating a variety of complaints, both physical and mental. Used in conjunction with other therapies, such as psychoanalysis, hypnotherapy can help patients to overcome certain psychological complaints, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression, Phobias, and Neuroses. It is particularly useful for overcoming phobias, and ceasing problematic habitual behavior, like stammering, snoring, smoking, teeth grinding, sleepwalking or nail biting.
It can also help alleviate some of the symptoms of physical complaints like allergies, travel sickness, insomnia and irritable bowel syndrome. Used in conjunction with conventional medical treatment, hypnotherapy has demonstrated positive benefits in the treatment of Cancer. Hypnotherapy is also useful in providing general health benefits, such as improving posture and digestion, reducing dependence on sleeping pills or tranquillizers, and helping to eradicate stress, anxiety and depression.
Hypnotherapy is not generally advisable for mentally disturbed or psychotic patients.

4. Belonging to this profession, what is your qualification?
After my 14 years of academic education I enrolled myself for Hypnotherapy - basic course, in 1997 from NGH USA, and then I did my Hypnotherapy Diploma in1999 from London College of clinical hypnosis. Then I did vigorous mind development workshops fourth dimension 1 in 2000, after that I did my training of another mind development training program, The Incorporeal World in 2003. In 2005 I did my Silva Method Self-Empowerment program at Silva Head Quarters, Texas. I have also accomplished the Awakening Fire Walk in Advance Mind Enhancement program in 2007.

Zonah's designer wear hits Middle East

Affordable designer wear is hard to find, but when you know where to step it gets relatively easy. One of Karachi’s most loved Zonah’s has turned its tide to Middle East and now there are stepping in the Kingdom’s capital. Currently Zonah’s was spotted in exhibitions and festivals displaying their new and exquisite clothing, footwear and bags range.
The quality of the used fabric stretches from Cotton, Silk, Chiffon and Velvet. The line displays frocks and front open shirts with extra-long length to provide a sense of the trends from Pakistan that is currently in. Embellished neck lines with Stones paired with lavishly huge pearls. The party wear concluded velvet patches with draped silk over the outfit for a fuller look. The cotton and casual range ended with front the back embroidered and stitched with perfection. The whole variety was chic yet elegant.
The clutches presented were gold’s, silver’s and black’s to easily match them with any outfit in your occasions. The embellishment was kept simple but using rhinestones pattern over the top. The footwear were open flats beaded with large stones, oval pearls and stitched patterns. The overall palette was kept simple and beige’s with gold was spotted in the whole line.
Zonah’s received an overwhelming welcome and response not only from the Eastern community but also from the Middle Eastern fans who simply adored the idea of long shirts and sleek flats etched with heavy jewels.

We hope to see more from them in their coming Eid collection! Till then keep your eyes open to spot them in the coming exhibitions in Riyadh.

Love in a Basket - Rings Collection

Once in a while we all want something trendy and vibrant, something that is affordable but has the highest demand in the market. Crafts – and to be more precise handmade crafts have left a mark to be one of the leading businesses in the world.
Sohaib Safwan, this week was kind enough to let us review some of the exquisite jewelry pieces that the online store has to offer. It has been over 10 months that this line is considered a part of ‘Love in a Basket'.  Overall in the collection my favorites were the big and bold rings. The use of vibrant dyes, beads and stones and fabric automatically makes them a must have in every ring collection!
The assortment includes rings made from ‘Italian Dough’ into different patterns and textures and then the sides are beaded off with pearls to seal in the whole design. 'Satin' rings are twisted into floral shapes and then a bling of rhinestone or a pearl is added for elegance in the overall item. A few pieces are made with the in vogue ‘Pom Pom Lace’ which is twisted and knotted to the edge. The line also includes materials like pipe cleaners and bases painted and punched with stones to provide a flashy touch to the ring. Furthermore, the selection stores beaded rings that have alternate layers of stones to it.

For clients and customers, most of the designs are customizable so that you can pick out your favorites and dress the colors up as you like!

Peach by Sarah Kasbati

A gathering always comes to an end when you have the perfect friends and family around that fill the air with warm hugs, echoing laughs and soft smiles. To make this experience more delightful 'PEACH' has been creating innovative ideas and exquisite décor to make every party more entertaining and successful.
The credit is mostly served to the event manager for making it flow so smooth. From the decoration part to winding the event so perfectly it truly is remarkable. I always wondered how the routine of such a hectic job can be done with so much pressure to meet the clients’ demands by designing the schemes, choosing the favors and giveaways’, ordering the seating arrangements and, the list just keeps on going. So this week we had Sarah Kabsati, founder and owner of peach to answer our questions.
Starting from her education, she was a member of the Association of Chattered Certified Accountant and later on she started gaining her experience as a Visibility Manager for Walls Ice-cream in Unilever LTD.

Then in 2008 after the wedding bells rang she shifted to the capital. Being an active and independent lady throughout her life and getting settled in Riyadh was never an easy choice but she played her cards and made the best of her spare time by deciding to organize events and giving out wrapping services.
It has been 20 months since 'Peach' has been satisfying their customers by offering quality services to them. Since 2010 Sarah Kasbati under 'Peach’s' name has managed 10 events which include birthday party, baby showers etc. She told us that she plans to take a further step by organizing wedding ceremonies and graduation parties in her work.

Sarah also told us that every event has a different theme which is decided with the consent of the client and then later on the execution phase is carried out which entails buying the scrap and preparing the material for the coming day.

The services and packages vary. It mostly, depends on the guests invited, the venue decided and every single detail. 'Peach' compromises the whole planning which includes the seating arrangements, balloon decorations, games and clowns, goody bags, chocolate counters, candy floss and much more. “Peach is responsible for advising on the theme and arranging decoration. In the case of birthday parties the arrangement of balloons, games, clowns and magic shows are outsourced to freelance services providers or depending on the size and the availability such arrangements are also outsourced to Fun Time and Lolly Pop, specialized birthday party shops  in Riyadh.”

The catering services are not included in any package. For that a third party has to get involved.
If you need to organize a well-managed event or get the most adorable gift wraps then 'Peach' is the perfect place where you will get it all done!

Love in a Basket

Not everyone is born with talent. For some, it takes years to practice, and for others it’s more of a challenge. Sohaib Safwan, currently a BBA student at Iqra University was never an ace in nail art. For once he did a polka dot design on his sister’s nail and the design went so rad that instead of leaving it for sure, he gave this a new start and took this so far that now he stands as a proud trainer for OPI Pakistan.
The online store which is taken care by Sohaib and his mother has already scored 14k fans in a year. The shop offers an assortment rings, bangles, necklaces, earrings, brooches, clutches, handbags, hairbands and of course nail art, also available in 3D.

‘Love in a Basket’ turned one on the 21st of June, the initial idea was to start an online shop where he could promote and sell his designs but then later changed the impression that this would be a place where trendy items for girls will be show-cased. With the styles changing and the colors being added in the fashion, Sohaib focuses on updating the designs and constantly attaching the vivid and vibrant pigments with the current flow.

The prices of the items in ‘Love in a basket’ are extremely affordable especially when we talk about hand-made crafts. Sohaib said that he decides the range in which he can get the profit out and also keep the prices affordable for the customers.

‘Love in a Basket’ as always, will be launching their new and exquisite lines for their customers. Sohaib unveiled that he will be introducing formal clutches by the end of this month as their new range.
Seeing him being the first OPI educator ever in Pakistan, we asked him the reaction when people come to know that you are working as a trainer he replied,"They used to give me funny looks and almost everyone used to ask me how I ended up in this field. People make judgments without even seeing your work, and when they see my work, they are amazed! "

At the end we told Sohaib to give a brief reply of what he does for OPI "I am working for OPI as their educator for Pakistan, I give training and demo sessions to different saloons. These sessions mostly include a detailed demonstration of acrylic and gel nails, and OPI's different systems. Where ever in Pakistan they need to give training from the OPI systems, I am sent there for the demonstrations. Recently I was sent for an International Training by OPI in Dubai and I learned quite a lot of stuff."

Winding this up we congratulate 'Love in a Basket' for being blessed with such a response. We thank Sohaib Safwan for his time and co-operation and wish him the very best in future.

Eid Shopping Festival by 'Zakeez'

For the ladies in Riyadh the event was being promoted a month before. Flyers were distributed throughout the area. Banners and other arrangements were made to attract the attention of the commoners and the Desi community of Riyadh, KSA.

As seen on pages on Facebook this event was arranged by Javeria Zakeez, this week on the 21st of June, 2012. ‘Samyy Writes’ was appointed to cover the whole event.
The chosen venue was ‘Mezbaan Banquet Hall’ which was organized by arranging stall tables for the exhibitors. A total of 18 stalls were presented.
The event started in full swing at 4:30 pm and the customers started rushing in. The front venue had a reception table and the stage on the left. Entry ticket per person was 5 SR, and the total sum at the end was donated to a charity organization.

Over the stage, ‘Flavors’ was the first stall to greet the ones who were coming. Sadia Aleem was minding the food stall and presented sweet and savory items alike. Sadia recently has started a Facebook group and wants her social circle and creativity, to make the perfect desserts and the delicious recipes spread. Moving on to the extreme right Aqsa Asif from ‘Xtasy Productions’ had set up her photo-studio. Aqsa was clicking through the event and editing them up to a perfect rate and printing out the exquisite master pieces.
Sam Ovais was having her stall too on the stage and she was spotted designing Henna in the most beautiful ways. She was also seen Face-painting the kids who were there with the mothers, enjoying the event to the fullest.

With the front view of the Hall almost every other exhibitor was displaying their clothing lines.
Zakeez, The Whatnots Shop, M&H Fashions, Aliya Khalid, Noreen, Ronaques, BK collection, RS collection and many more displayed fancy, casual and party wear and designer lawns at the scene.
Food stalls were in abundance on the right rear side of the hall offering delicious desi meals to the ladies.
They were shared by Sidra and Amina Yasir. Their taste was absolutely delicious of every item that I tasted!

Riyadh’s most happening and trendy ‘The Whatnots Shop’ received an ultimate response from the fans out there. They were showcasing Nail Art, Crochet and Designer Lawn and for the first time their Jewelry line was unveiled in the exhibition.
Pakistani’s Designer Brand Zonah’s was also seen on the show. They were promoting their clutches, footwear and clothing lines for the ladies. Over their stall they also were giving out Rizwan Baig and Icon designer lawns at affordable prices.
A step further and ‘Rainbow Jewelers’ were asked about their experience as a first time stall holder. They have recently started their business in making hand-made traditional Jewelry. Her work was well- appreciated by many who joined the event.
At the wrap of the whole event Javeria Zakeez was over-whelmed by the response she got. She at the end thanked all the stall holders and exhibitors and, especially wanted to appreciate Atiya Zubair, 'Special thanks to my darling Atiya Zubair who worked as my right hand, and made things so easy for me!'

'Samyy Writes' wishes luck and regards to Javeria Zakeez for arranging the event. We hope that in the coming events you prosper more and get a better response each time.

AVON Reviews - Crack it Open

Cracking nail polishes are a huge hit and many of the enamel companies have launched their own designs in this one. Avon’s Mosaic effects in a new member in the polish collection. It works just like a regular cracking polish by simply applying it over the nail and leaving it till it automatically dries and cracks. Though there is whole new range of shades in this line. My preference is the black and white ones.

I usually wear the lighter ones with black and pair the darker tones with white to give it a contrast and make sure that the colors stay separate and recognizable. This simply polish creates a mosaic texture on your nails within 15 minutes!

So, If you are a fan of nail art but fail to express the creativity then this is the perfect top coat to make your nails trendy and in style.

AVON Reviews - My everyday Neutrals

This is my everyday collection (That is obvious, from the bottles). You can’t always wear striking colors so sometimes you have to soften the edges and take a trip with neutrals. No matter how much you love colors these basic creamy polishes should be there for every girl. Avon gives out a range and these three are my favorites for quite a time.

1. Natural Flux: This Sheer pinkish shade looks peachy and neutral for every skin tone. The color gives a sense of elegance and simplicity. This is a perfect and effortless look if you are looking for something subtle.

2. Deluxe Chocolate: Although this is a dark color but its creamy and sophisticated. This perfect shimmery color sends a clue of gold and brown when applied on the nails. One is enough but if you want this enriching chocolate experience go for two coats and seal them with top coat.

3. Star: This sheer ivory shade is an ideal color for a flawless base. But, this can be applied without anything on the top. The color gives a creamy finish. With a total of two coats you can get the stars on your very nails!

AVON Reviews - Slide the right Reds

Over the years red and the shades are a huge success in the cosmetic world. Staring from luscious red lips to the Shining red manicures, this trend keeps on coming back at every turn. It never matters what the age group is as long as you’re a woman red is an essential in the closet and the dresser. So make sure to choose the perfect hues with Avon’s ‘Nailwear Pro’ collection. These are the preferred reds that I like.

1. Golden Wine: This gorgeous enamel is from the ‘Gold Nailwear Pro’. This is a blend of many shades, when applied on the nail. You can actually see the lights reflect and giving off Gold, Scarlet and Magenta. The glitter effect in the polish gives off a smooth coverage over the nails making the shine last up to three days of your manicure.

2. Cherry Jubilee: The name gives away the identity of what the color actually is! The true cherry color is perfect for a Bright day or a Glam night. One coat is enough to layer the perfect color over your nails.

3. Real Red: We all need that Vampire look once in a while. This true Red works the way when you pair it with a neutral look so that the color effortlessly gets spotted. The trend is recently in and at its peak. Models over the ramp are seen wearing the true bold colors with a flawless flushed look.

AVON Reviews - Play with Purples

Purples are passionate, strong and one of the bold colors that are not easily used as an everyday colors, but they are the ideal choices to get a change in the routine. Avon over the years and made the perfect polishes and purples from this cosmetic company is a must have!

1. Luxe Lavender: Ever wanted to give your life a soft touch? This sober pigment looks refreshing on the nails especially in springs and summers. At the most two quotes are enough as the color is pale and light so it automatically builds it up. I absolutely adore this color and sometimes dot Fuchsia pink over it to pop the colors out.

2. Decadence: Wait for the autumns and winters to get this vivid and eye-catching paint on your nails. But this color is worth the wait! The glittery purple stays the same till the third day of your manicure. The first coat is enough with a top coat to give out the perfect results and in making sure that the color doesn’t chip off.
